Seattle Paramotor offers paramotor flight training, guided flying events, and related aviation education services in Washington State. All services are subject to availability, weather conditions, and instructor discretion.
Paramotoring is an inherently dangerous activity involving risk of serious injury or death. By enrolling in any course or event, you acknowledge that you understand and voluntarily assume all risks associated with paramotor flight, including but not limited to: collision, equipment failure, adverse weather conditions, and pilot error.
This assumption of risk does not waive any liability that cannot be waived under Washington State law.
All participants must sign a physical liability waiver before participating in any training session or flying event. Electronic acknowledgment during registration does not replace the physical waiver. No person will be permitted to fly without a signed waiver on file.
Our instructors have sole and final authority over all flying decisions, including whether conditions are suitable for flight, whether a student is ready to progress, and whether any individual may participate on a given day. Disagreement with instructor decisions is not grounds for a refund.
All equipment provided by Seattle Paramotor is maintained to manufacturer specifications. Students are responsible for any damage caused by negligence or intentional misuse beyond normal wear and tear. Equipment rentals for adventure events carry a separate refundable damage deposit.
By participating in our courses and events, you grant Seattle Paramotor a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use photographs and video of your participation for marketing and educational purposes. If you do not consent, notify us in writing before your first session.
All content on this website, including text, images, video, and curriculum materials, is the property of Seattle Paramotor and may not be reproduced without written permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by Washington State law, Seattle Paramotor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Snohomish County, Washington.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Important
A physical liability waiver must be signed before any training or flying activity. The following is a summary of the key provisions. The full waiver document will be provided at your first session.
Participation in paramotor training and flying events operated by Seattle Paramotor requires acknowledgment and acceptance of the following:
Powered paragliding (paramotoring) is classified as an extreme sport and carries inherent risks that cannot be eliminated through instruction, equipment maintenance, or supervision. These risks include but are not limited to:
Participants release Seattle Paramotor, its owners, instructors, employees, agents, and volunteers from any and all claims arising from participation in training or events, including claims arising from negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by Washington State law.
Washington State RCW 4.24.115 governs the enforceability of liability releases for recreational activities. This release does not apply to claims arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Participants represent that they are in suitable physical and mental health to participate, have no medical conditions that would increase risk to themselves or others, and have disclosed any relevant medical history to their instructor prior to flying.
Paramotors operating under FAR Part 103 are not subject to FAA pilot certification requirements. However, all participants agree to comply with applicable FAA regulations including airspace restrictions, right-of-way rules, and prohibition on careless or reckless operation.
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Seattle Paramotor from any claims, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from their actions during participation in our programs.
