USPPA PPG2 certified instruction in the South Puget Sound. 30 to 50 minutes south of Seattle, central to South Puget Sound.
The South Puget Sound region around Tacoma is one of our most active training areas. Pierce County's mix of flat agricultural land, river plains, and consistent marine-influenced morning winds makes it well-suited for paramotor training - particularly kite handling and early supervised flights.
Tacoma sits at the geographic center of our South Sound training corridor, with sites accessible to students coming from Puyallup, Lakewood, Spanaway, Graham, and as far south as Olympia. If you're anywhere in Pierce County or southern King County, Tacoma-area training is the most logistically efficient option.
Our courses at South Sound locations follow the same curriculum and standards as all Seattle Paramotor programs: 10-day PPG2 certification, maximum 4 students, all equipment provided. We rotate between sites based on weather windows to maximize your flying time.
We select training sites based on wind exposure, terrain, airspace, and weather windows. Exact locations are shared with enrolled students.
Puyallup River valley - Wide flat valley floor with reliable morning calm, minimal airspace conflict, 20 minutes east of downtown Tacoma
Graham / Kapowsin area - Open farmland south of Tacoma, frequently used for kiting and early flight sessions
Orting valley - Flat agricultural terrain against the Cascade foothills with excellent visibility and minimal obstructions
Prairie areas south of Spanaway - Broad open terrain accessible year-round with consistent wind patterns
